Cheap, mass produced, mass marketed, sweet, easy to drink wine. We sell it because you ask for it! Beringer makes some great wines, this one pays their bills. Their literature says "full fruity flavors complemented by refreshing citrus tinged acidity."

Produced from the young Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot Vines of the Ornellaia estated blended with Sangiovese coming from selected growers in the coastal zone. Rich, plummy fruit of the former varieties is offset by the brisk acidity and leathery Italian stamp lent by the latter in a seductivelyfragrant, soft wine of great charm.

Aged in French Oak barrels with no malolactic fermentation, this local Chardonnay is made in the French style. Hints of lemon and green apple add to the citrus taste. Cult like following.

Grapes are from the source usually saved for their celebrated ìspecial selectionî, but Caymus did not make a 96 special selection. This wine is drinking extremely nice. Wine Spectator gave it 90 points. Creamy, toasty oak up-front with supple currant and black cherry folding in beneath. Big and complex on the finish.

A classic wine. Amazingly complex, it displays a wide range of flavor-- including currant, wild berry, herb, sage, coffee and tobacco-- gains in nuance, delicacy, elegance and finesse, and unveils pretty oak shadings on the finish. 97 points in Wine Spectator

Opus One is a partnership of Baron Eric de Rothschild and Robert Mondavi to create a distinctive Bordeaux style Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The 96' vintage has wonderful finesse and complexity. Toasty clove, currant, black cherry and spice. (96 points in Wine Spectator) This vintage was considered the #2 overall wine for 96' vintages.

Lot #24 is the annual release of a blend. This is considered by some as a ìfruit bombî. Its intense berry flavor makes it stand up to spicy foods, or as a refreshing sipper. Great value for a unique well made wine.

This limited allocated release is what big Zinfandel should be. Lots of plum and fruit. Can stand alone or with anything spicy or red (meat).

91 points in Wine Spectator. Aged for 18 months in seasoned French Oak. A tight and firm Syrah with a rich and focused core of plum, black cherry, earth, anise and wild berry flavors ending in a long, intricate aftertaste. Very limited quantities.

Steve Edmunds is one of Robert Parker's favorite wine makers. This is a small California vineyard with limited production, and the Durell Syrah is big with balance of complex flavors. Hints of earth and smoke. Good with any full flavored meals. Known as "ESJ" by it's cult like following.

Blended from two clones in the Carneros region where the cool temperatures allow the grapes to mature slowly. The results are a bright, fresh strawberry cherry and red currant characteristic.

One of the finest modern Riojas. The Reserva is powerful yet well-balanced. Notes of black currants and vanilla with velvety soft, silky smooth tannins.
